After a good days of stuffing around getting the right files installed, java, mysql and what not it’s all up and running nicely.
the 1gb ram is handling the Java server nicely and hopefully it stays that way. For the cheap price of $36/m its a bargain in an language

Basically after searching for a long time, I came across TurboVPS’s offerings. They offer 1gb ram, 400gb transfer, 12gb space on a Windows 2003 server for only $35.99 a month. What a bargain.
So I thought there’s nothing to loose Ill purchase that, and they server was setup within an hour of the purchase which was much faster than I expected. So far its running Maple Story (odinms) very well, Ill keep you updated.

Well, I went searching for a Brick Blocker tutorial but couldn’t find any in Google so I decided to make one myself.
Before we start, people have been asking if it works 100% of the time. Well I’m not sure, but the updates on the discs will prompt you before you update anyway, so Brick Blocking is just a good means of making sure it won’t update even if you accidentally say yes to the update.
- Download Brick Blocker (Thanks to wii-maniacs.com)
- Grab your favorite NTSC ISO Dump
- Open Brick Blocker from your extracted zip file.
- Go up to the Langue dropdown and click Changer la langue…
- Choose english.lng and click OK
- Under Wii Iso Path: click Browse and select your ISO dump
- Now click Read Info It will show info like Game Name, console-ID, Game Code, Country Code, Maker Code.
- Now click Patch and it should patch the game and say Complete.

After searching for a while for a good FLV player for modx I got frustraighted and dove into the world of snippet creation for modx. Honestly it’s not too bad, they have done a good job with their code.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I am currently finalising development of a FLV and MP3 Player for modx which will allow you to place a FLV player or MP3 player inside your modx pages with just a simple bit of code. eg. [[flv_mp3_player? &type=`flv` &file=`assets/media/movie.flv` &height=`200` &width=`300`]]
It uses jeroenwijering’s flv/mp3 player which I’ve used on many sites.

I went out and bought some verbatim and attempted a burn on my Pioneer sata burner that I have for backing up my xbox 360 DL’s and it failed.
So I tried the same process in my older LG drive and it worked fine. So I guess the Pioneer isnt as good quality for plain DVD-R discs as it is for DVD-R DL.
So Verbatim, clonedvd and my LG drive worked perfectly for me.
I’ve also ordered two steering wheels, a component cable and a pink case for my fiance for the Wii from DealExtreme. Will review these when I get them.
I also have ordered a USB Gecko from OZModChips but this is yet to arrive.

Basically, Imation discs suck. Although their DVD+RW worked fine in the wii their 16x DVD-R didn’t. Stay away from imation DVD-R as i tried about 10 at different speeds, settings and programs and they all fail.
Go get some verbatims and be happy!
